Julie and Julia

Meryl Streep is Julia Child and Amy Adams is Julie Powell in writer-director Nora Ephron’s adaptation of two bestselling memoirs: Powell’s Julie & Julia and My Life in France, by Julia Child with Alex Prud’homme. Based on two true stories, Julie & Julia intertwines the lives of two women who, though separated by time and space, are both at loose ends...until they discover that with the right combination of passion, fearlessness and butter, anything is possible.

PRESENT

CHARITY SHOP CABARET

at Cardington Village Hall

An exciting concoction of cutting-edge theatre and surreal comedy. A hilarious journey into Elseth Garter's charity shop: a welcoming world of rummage and romance, jumble and joy, bingo and the bizarre. Not having had a customer for eight months, Elspeth and her trusty volunteers fill their days with high energy dance routines, titillating tea ceremonies and absurd frugal tips for frugal times - all set to the classic sounds of their vintage vinyl resident DJ. Immensely talented performers inhabit a bizarre world as the audience is whisked off on a fairground ride through the House of Hilarity. Cancel bingo and the yoga lesson and have a chortle with your chums at the Charity Shop Cabaret!

Tickets £6 ( limited number of free tickets for those under 25 ) available by phoning 01694 771 295 or from www.artsalive.co.uk
