Sunday Nighters Anything Goes evenings

An informal local night out with food and entertainment!

Sunday Nighters can be anyone…. read on…

You could be enjoying a social event that takes place monthly in someone’s home. You bring your own drink and the host provides a simple fork supper during break of a programme of entertainment.

There’s plenty of time to relax, chat with others who come and enjoy the performances  - the evening is for those of you who just want to sit back and watch/listen to others who have something they would like to perform - anything goes.

You can be assured there are going to be people out there who enjoy performing/doing something they know well/trying something new, who are happy to have a go and then sit back and enjoy other items on the programme. Previous items have been a wide range of individual/group musical or dramatic performances, singing, readings, poetry, stories, mime, magic, dance – anything goes!

You can be a Sunday Nighter if you sign up to:

·            Come along, sit back and listen to others and enjoy the show - OR –Come along, sign up to doing something on the programme and also sit back and enjoy the show

·            Contact Laura Shepherd a couple of days beforehand if you’re joining the evening so there will be enough food for you!

·            Bring something to drink and £1 to pay for your supper

·            Keep quiet when someone is performing (unless they ask you to join in with them)

First off our website has a location map at  www.lowerdayhouse.com, secondly these are directions from Hughley:

Coming from Much Wenlock on the Church Stretton road you need to come down into Hughley.  In Hughley you will see the Church on the right-hand side and then a Caravan Park.  Take the turning left just past here and go up to the next crossroads where you will see the School and Village Hall.  Turn left again and follow up the road passing Cardington House on the left-hand side.  Travel a little further up the road and you will see a house and buildings just off the road up a drive on the right-hand side.   This is where we are.   If you reach Upper Day Farm you have gone just a little too far.

and finally as follows:-

Leave Cardington and head for Church Preen crossroads passing turnings for Longville and Plaish one half mile after the Plaish turning you come to the top of a rise with Upper Day House farm on your left go downhill 250 yards and you will find our drive on the left on a slight bend.
