Directions to Cardington

Cardington is situated amongst the South Shropshire hills and dales, about 4 miles to the east of Church Stretton, behind Caer Caradoc.

 

The postcode for the Garden Trail starting point, St James’s Church, is SY6 7JZ

 

Please use the designated car parks to avoid inconvenience to residents and other visitors. There is limited parking in the village hall car park for Blue Badge holders only

 

From Shrewsbury:

Take the A49 southwards, turn left in Leebotwood (signed Cardington) and continue to follow Cardington signs for about 3 1/2 miles. You can start the Garden Trail by buying your ticket at Gulley Green  if you prefer. See map and follow the signs to No.1 Garden at the fork in the road before Shootrough

 

From Ludlow:

Take the A49 northwards to Church Stretton, turn right at the traffic lights onto the B4371 towards Much Wenlock. After about 2 1/2 miles, just before Wall Bank, turn left (signed Cardington) and continue to follow Cardington signs for about 1 1/2 miles.

Please use the first car park on your right, by the ‘Cardington Drive Slowly’ sign

 

From Much Wenlock:

Take the B4371 towards Church Stretton, along Wenlock Edge. At Longville in the Dale, turn right on the bend just before the Longville Arms (signed Cardington), then in 1/2 mile left at the cross roads and continue to follow Cardington signs for about 2 miles.

 Please use the field car park, on the far side of the Village Hall.
