The following gardens are opening in 2016:-
Gulley Green - teas and cakes available here - 2 miles from Cardington in a shallow valley under Caer Caradoc, this peaceful acre of garden has shrubs, herbaceous borders, rockeries, damp garden, pool and stream, with views of surrounding hills. Further acres of hillside and pool are a designated wildlife site where wild flowers are encouraged.
Chapel House – a 1.5 acre garden on various levels. Borders, lawns and old orchard surround the house. In the field behind, garden rooms and pergolas lead on to the summer house, barbeque area and beyond to the vegetable garden , yew avenue, campfire, pond and late summer annual flower meadow.
Brook Cottage - a garden transformed. We have refreshed this traditional cottage garden, adding streamside planting, espalier fruit trees and raised beds. Come and view the plans and see further work in progress!
The Old Vicarage – a 2 acre plus garden encompasses this beautiful vicarage with a backdrop of magnificent trees. Herbaceous beds, roses and a bog garden are set amid gently sloping lawns.
No 25 Cardington – small, colourful garden with an exuberant mixture of perennials, annuals and shrubs, including topiary. Bountiful herbaceous borders and classic island bed. Background of trees and wonderful views.
Waterloo - on entering this acre garden you are met by a large pool full of lilies and bordered by a wide variety of waterside plants. Beyond are areas of different atmospheres, where lawns provide excellent pathways to lead you between herbaceous borders, a productive vegetable garden, mature trees and a small woodland area.
Number Four – a new garden.
Lower Barn, Shootrough - the garden and lawns have been created over 10 years from a barn yard. Terraces with cottage style planting, where plants are allowed to do their own thing. A reed-bed system is in place with a wildlife pool at the end, creating a very tranquil area.
